I think having cooked shrimp is better. Everyone's suggestions sound good.

I can cook some fish perfectly. But other types of fish like cod, I overcook it and then it can be a pet's chew toy!! LOL!!

Enjoy!!!!

Pat them dry before you add them to your other ingredients. And ditto what everyone else said about gently heating them through.

i agree with everyone, however, i hope the shrimp doesn't have any seasoning in it.

I've accidentally purchased frozen cooked chicken, and although i wasn't going to use it in a recipe, i didn't like the flavor once i heated it up. ugh! it tasted kind of dry and no matter what i did, it didn't taste very good. when i looked back at the package it said "lightly seasoned." yeah right!

The shrimp does not have any seasoning. Thanks for the heads up.

sherry - i like what folks said about adding the shrimp at the last minute - that chicken story - not only was the seasoning bad, the texture was rubbery. so to keep the shrimp from getting overcooked, add at the last minute.

exactly! "lightly seasoned" is a subjective term.
