This is exactly what I was going to suggest. There is something about the slow, even pace of the tidal breath track on Pure and Simple Yoga that totally changed the way I breathe during yoga practices. I did yoga for years but could never really get the focus on the breath until I did this one. And the commentary is far lower key than, say, Power Yoga for Happiness. It's pretty toned down and not at all annoying, IMO.

Another option that really helped my breathing was Max Strom's How to Breathe, appropriately enough. It's a series of breathing exercises and ends with a meditation focused on the breath. It's not really yoga, although the breathing is synchronized with simple movements, but it's pretty good for retraining your body to breathe well.

Sharon, what link did you mean to include here?
I think the Benagh link was pasted twice by mistake.

I second this. Terrific breathing practice.

I'm not Sharon, but here is one place you can get Richard Freeman's breathing practice. He's an amazing yogi; wonderful teacher, IMO.

Oops! (I'm in the middle of packing to return to the U.S. after 2 months in Latin America -- not well-organized.) Yes I meant this one:

Betsy's is cheaper though. Yes, Freeman is amazing.
