A lot of Chris Freytag's workouts ( starting with 2 Week Turnaround Stregth) have balance challanges worked into the workout it self. While not a balance workout, I love how she sneeks in balance work in her workouts.

Shannon Fable's Balletone workouts (I haven't done the others) have a lot of balance work.

A couple months I got a rebounder and I usually do one of The Urban Rebounder Compilation workouts (or part of one) for a warmup. I have been very pleasantly surprised how much balance has improved. I can now do Tree Poses in yoga and let go of the barre in Barre workouts, all at least for a few seconds.

Also I have started using my BOSU, in place of a step, in some of Cathe early step workouts.

The upper body section of Do More Pilates Standing has several balance moves. Some here have dubbed it "V-Core Light."

I haven't seen anyone mention On One Leg from Tony Horton one on one series (?)

T-Tapp has some very challenging balance workouts. As you get stronger your balance improves. She gives some good ideas as to how to improve it.

Does anyone know of any books/articles discuss research or principals of improving balance?

I have Balance Training by Karon Karter (some info, mostly exercises) and The Great Balance & Stability Handbook (exercises using different balance equipment).

Rosepetals--Which of her DVDs would you recommend? I don't have any of her workouts.
