Sherry and Leigh, sorry to hear about Bonkers and Duke.

Oddly, our cat Mila was waiting for me outside the bedroom door yesterday after I did yoga. Bonkers always did that.
what a sweetie

We had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my sweet 14.5 year-old kitty Duke this past Monday after he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in October. We both miss him, but it's a bit more pronounced for me because I work from home and he was my little "work buddy" throughout the day. I keep expecting to hear and see him hopping up on the table to plop down in front of my laptop (often ON the keyboard, of course ) [B]For such a small little things, they sure have a big presence in our lives (and hearts). Hugs to you!
This is exactly what I was thinking. The first time I had to put a cat down was Avatar Archie. I was amazed at how quiet the house was. I live alone, so it was just the two of us. He could be a little chatty at times (note the avatar picture) but was generally a quiet cat, and didn't like noise anyway (unlike the little one behind me right now playing with a plastic bag).

Oh I'm sorry about Duke! Somehow I left that out of my original post (I think the phone rang). Take care.
