this might help, is there anyone who tried SS. Found they got no results and the workouts were less than desirable?

All these 6 workouts are about an hour long. In fact two of them are about 78 mins. If you do them regularly, on rotation- you will get results. I did! Of course, you have to eat healthy too. Diet and exercise is key!

I hated them. I got some results, but not enough to make up for how much I disliked these workouts.
I've been lifting weights with videos since October, and like long workouts - if the video doesn't last at least an hour, I add on, so it's not the length, and except for the lactic acid burn while doing them, I didn't think they were too hard, and I was only slightly sore maybe once the day after doing them.
I didn't care for Debbie's personality, something which puts me in a group of about 1 from everything I've read here. I think that's the main reason I got rid of the set, she just aggravated the crap out of me.

I keep waiting to hate them. They embody everything I normally hate in a workout. No exciting music, all of them basically start with the same warmup, poor form and poor knowledge of kenetics, some of the background stuff annoys me to no end (Kevin's awful form in lateral raises and rear delt flyes comes to mind) and yet, I keep doing them. So now, I am trying to figure out why I DON'T hate them. Or, why I do, and keep doing them, haha. I think I am just plain determined to see what results I get if I can stick with it long enough. But it's more than that, because really, if I can't stand a workout, I yank it out of the machine within 10 minutes, so SOMETHING is keeping me with it, but I haven't a clue what at this point.

LMAO Redflame!

With the exception of the music, I could have written your post verbatim. Don't be surprised if you just end up really liking this series and never knowing really why you do.

And you know, regarding the music, I don't mind it at all. It isn't the 'exciting' kind of music that ramps me up, but I am not 'ramped up' in these workouts anyway, I am just trying to get through. I actually think that the ongoing drum thing helps me to get those reps in! I always crack up too, in the segment (don't know which tape, they really all sort of blend together for me, haha) but I think it is in Tone where she is doing floor work and lifting the leg in these little pulses and she is laughing and talking about how much it hurts, JUST before she puts the hip through a whole NEW torture without so much as a rest!

It's Firm it Up

I just did it about 30 minutes ago. Those never ending pelvic tucks always set my butt muscles on fire.

I agree, the music doesn't bother me either. This workout is also good without any music and using your own music that has between 123-130 bpm.

I have not been creative with my DVD yet, do I understand correctly that when you turn off the music, you still hear the instructor??

Those little pelvic pulses in Tone It up and Firm It UP really kill!! As Keli Roberts says in Kick-Butt Kombat "That's a burner!"

Hi Redflame

Yes, you still hear Debbie's verbal cues.

Try it this way and with your own music. Boths ways work really well.
