I agree. And it's a bit sad My boys will be in high school before you know it, and I dread to think they will be learning all that in locker rooms.

I'm with those who are more offended by the product than the ad. I'm sure some people will like to use the wipes, but I hate the idea that youngsters will think their genitalia is clean enough for sexual intimacy having used only a wipe.
I'm also of the opinion sex is intimate and there's no need to talk about it like you would about playing tennis or something. You close the door and go about it in private, so why the constant talk about it, and joking about it?
Like body image issues, I want my children to grow up with a healthy view of sexuality. I'm not happy with this sex is just one more sport or game to be played, and I don't like the slang used in jokes. It makes sex dirty, cheap, something you can get by looking better, dressing with less clothes, consuming a certain drink, and now using wipes! I don't like it.

sorry for the rant....

I think they're clever! And they are obviously working because we are all talking about them.

I like the departure from the typical girl twirling through a field that's been used for years

Keep it clean and keep stepping. don't like the add. Write to them and let them know you live in a community such as those people without lights. I guess having Dr. Ruth on tv when she was on was offensive also.

Don't stay up late at night because they talk about Sexual toys Also. Just warning you so you won't be appalled. How the heck did every one get here. Was everyone's mother's parts not clean? come on..

Are you saying now Shape magazine should be behind the counters so young ladies won't feel hurt they they are talking about shaving that hairy area?
For me, the ad is less about talking about our bodies and more about the notion that women should keep themselves "clean" and therefore more desirable for a male partner.

As for the ipad mini and mini pad comment - I doubt the executives at Apple would denigrate their product for cheap laughs. And I just used the word "denigrate" to identify something that is uniquely feminine ("pad"). UGH! Maybe I should work in advertising, too.

actually the forums and blogs were all over the name iPad and making fun of it when it first came out... likening it to a feminine product.... i guess it was just old news by the time the mini came out!

lol @Travelmug... to the lady who believes her sons won't know about these type of jokes before high school. be warned. They do. Just letting you know. I didn't know my son knew what he new and he found out by going to friends houses and raiding the mothers or fathers cabinets with those friends.. I never knew what brain was until I was in my 40s..

When I first heard there was going to be a video game console called the "Wii", I thought it would be laughed off the planet. Guess Nintendo had the last laugh - and kids say "Can we come over and play with your Wii?" with a straight face.

I didn't think the ads were funny. Now if they said "vajayjay", THAT would be funny.
