Question JM Body Revolution – a few questions

1. How heavy are the weights you use with JMBR?

2. Do you use the cardio workouts or substitute other cardio? If other cardio, what do you do?

Many thanks!

1. Weights - I can't recall specifically, but I remember routinely setting 5 lbs. to 25 lb. weights out for JBMR because it ran the gamut for me. I didn't go CLX/kettlebell-heavy, though.

2. Cardio -- I like Jillian's athletic-style cardio, so no substitutions here.

Weights....what Breezy Trousers said
Cardio....I mix it up. Intervals on the treadmill, hill walks on the treadmill, cardio from Chalene Xtreme. I haven't done a Jillian cardio yet. I don't want to get tired of her.

I'm still in Phase 1 (week 3). My weights used have ranged from 3 - 15 pounds. I have used the recommended Cardio 1 disc so far. Sometimes, I've added on Jillian's Cardio Kickbox or a Leslie DVD. I'm not tired of Jillian yet but when that happens, I'll definitely switch up the cardio......

I keep wavering on whether I should buy this. It's been in my cart @ amazon for at least a month! What to do, what to do???

1. You guys are more ambitious with the weights on these than me! I went pretty light...I used 3, 5, and 8's.

2. I tried each cardio at least a couple times, but substituted other cardio as well, mostly Turbo Kick.

I got great results with this set and yet went quite light on the weights; 3 - 6lbs

I stuck with Jillian's cardio as I liked seeing how much I was improving each time (found that motivating!), it would be very easy to substitute something else in though.

I'm in Week 4 and I use weights anywhere from 5lbs to 25lbs. As far as cardio, I'm using her cardio once a week and running on the treadmill 5/6 x's a week.

Along with that I'm doing Pilates/Yoga 3x's a week and started doing a challage a month, this month it's crunches - I'm up to 150, will do 200 on the 31st.

I pretty much stuck with the recommendations made by Jillian - I think that was 3 lbs light, 5 lbs medium and 8 lbs heavy (I used up to 10 lbs for heavy). I'm not big into lifting heavy weights and used the workouts more a metabolic and cardio conditioning. I felt challenged plenty. Could I have used more - sure, but I just followed her lead.

I thought I would be bored with the cardio workouts, but I really liked them so I did use them throughout.

I did not complete Phase 1 - thought it might be too easy for me. The other thing was I combined the strength workoluts so I could do other things on the weekend. My usual pattern was something like this:

Monday: Strength 5 & 6
Tuesday: Cardio 2
Wednesday: Strength 5 & 6
Thursday: Active Recovery (usually elliptical and yoga)
Friday: Cardio 2 (I might reverse Thursday & Friday depending on what I felt like)
Saturday & Sunday - other workouts - usually barre or yoga
I also added my elliptical on 3 or 4 days a week.
