Alta, sending you hugs Thank you for the link.

Vantreesta, I have been better on cutting back on cheese, but not so great with cutting back on sugar....I totally understand. I went shopping at Aldi and I was thankful they did not have the pumpkin rolls in stock. I don't buy many ready made desserts since I bake, but I LOVE those. Some areas must get them in before others. Last year I tried slicing and freezing pieces, but found it tastes even better frozen Oh, well.....Great job on your hike!

I am going to try a healthy muffin or bread recipe from Well Plated this week, so I'll update on that.

I am also trying to have a salad or green smoothie every day.

Terri, I am so proud of you. I am terrible at speaking up.....

Have a good day-
Sherry

I listened to music while cooking and eating dinner-"Bear Creek" by Brandi Carlile. I made crustless spinach quiche and roasted zucchini and red peppers. Yum!

I hope everyone has a nice evening. We watched the special on A and E about the origins of MTV . It was a nice escape

I've started walking to YT, mostly Leslie, after dinner every evening - 5 in a row so far. The plan is 10 minutes, but most end up being a bit longer.
I'd read a while back that walking 10 minutes after you eat is better for your blood sugar than walking 30 minutes any other time. I never had blood glucose problems, but thought it was a good thing to do anyway because mostly I sit all evening.

I also found Above Inspiration on YT, and find them very uplifting. They're Christian, so may not be for everybody.

Yesterday's positive was gratitude for how cloudy days lessen my anxiety and make me feel calm and relaxed, like, hey, what's the hurry?

Today I am so grateful for pumpkin chai and how pleasant people can make errands not so bad. I still can't relax in stores bc of the mask, but how people act can help!

Terry,
I know I should do something after dinner besides sit on the couch reading or watching tv! I am an extreme morning person, and by evening my energy is gone. I get so much done in the morning, and less as the day goes on. I think I could muster up enough energy for a ten minute walk though...... Thank you for posting.

I mowed the grass in the back yard this morning, and I love the smell!

I really like everything about cutting the grass. I have an electric mower, so it's very quiet, and I can enjoy the birds and cicadas singing, the lizards running all around, the flowers (mostly wild flowers) blooming, the breeze blowing on me as I sweat, the sun shining on me!

I went to my office for a short project. I found my extra pair of shoes I had for walking at work. It was strange going in. Only 2 people are in the office at a time so it was good to see my coworker.

I wore my "new" shoes when I went for a walk this evening.
