Does anyone else feel like it's the "thrill of the chase?"

Looking back on old threads about new releases there could be 25 pages on speculation on a new release, can't wait, OMG shipping delays, could it be more like this, do you think it will be like this? why is shipping taking so long, you got yours, how come I didn't get mine yet I live closer, etc...

It seems that once the DVDs actually land in our laps the excitement is over. The reviews are slim pickins and the thread dies down....

Anyone else notice this? (and no I'm not talking about the new Tracie Long's since it appears I'm the only one who's received them) - but with anything, KBKB, Cathe, etc.

Yes, and I'm guilty of wanting the next new thing, but then when it gets home it may sit for a long while before I even touch it. And then I'm on here and looking around the web for the next new thing!

Ohhh yeah

Or that well reviewed older workout that spend hours hunting down only to have it collect dust on your shelf!

Definitely! Either that or we just like getting mail.

This is a very accurate statement. The anticipation of the unknown workout really sparks excitement. I haven't been involved in a pre-order or buying the first day a workout is available in a long time. But I do follow the threads and keep up on what's going on.

I think the FIRM was the last time I did a pre-order and the day I would receive the workout, I would do it... even if I had already worked out! That kind of excitement has hit me in quite some time.

There are several phases of the VF bandwagon.

I usually wait for the Final Phase where there appears the inevitable thread titled, "Is there anyone else who doesn't like the workout?" Then, the truth comes out about any bad cueing, bad music, poor form, etc.
