My daughter's first full marathon!
On Sunday, my daughter ran her first marathon! She was very excited and nervous. It was a cold morning in Newport News, VA. She finished the 26.2 race in 3 hrs 6 mins, 6th female. She was aiming for 3 hrs . She has had hip issues (tightening ) since her jr yr in college. Her hips started to tighten up around mile 20; she started talking to herself and her coach was next to her on the bike and calmed her down some (he's the best!).
Running a full marathon has been a goal of hers for a long time now. She now knows what to expect, how to pace, how her body will feel. She's looking forward to her next half and full marathon. Had to share. 😊 Lollie |

That's incredible! And she held about a 7 minute mile. Amazing.
