Well more and more I'm seeing this is not for me. It looks good, but I'm not yet at that point. But that's good, in a way, I like knowing there will be programs for me as I progress.

Well, it's still a video program. So if you're in the test group and you skip class, you get cut from the group, but that's not going to happen if you skip at home! I think they're just trying to get people psyched up. I want to see and hear more about this workout, but I've never had any interest in Beachbody's diet plans so for me, that wouldn't be a consideration anyway, and I've always been able to come up with my own modifications. In fact, I've often made more progress using my modifications than following the program. For instance, the standard modification given for pushups is to have your knees down, and that really doesn't help you build up to a "real" pushup. It would be nice to see modifications that provide a path to progressing, instead of being a kind of static substitute.

I'm right there with you on that one.

And I know this is being touted as a totally insane program, but a modifier would have been nice, esp if he put a modifier who was working his/her butt off with the rest of them, so you can show how to safely alter something and still work.

Well, here's a question that the blog brought up for me.

The Beachbody test groups, from what I've heard, have all had food provided to them. Balanced portions, nutritionally sound, etc. Wouldn't *anyone* look better after 90 days of that? I'm not saying the exercise programs don't contribute, but I'm wondering if the vast majority of "results" achieved from BB test groups can be attributed to the eating plans and not the actual program.

The more I read about this process, the more I think that the results are more from the diet/supplements they provide rather than the workouts. Even if they give you a diet guide with the home program, I believe that most people tend to over-estimate their portion sizes. If someone else is providing it to you, then that's a HUGE help, IMO. (At least it would be for me!)

Absolutely! And what totally ticks me off is that this blog will point out that diet is important and you need to pay attention to it, but diet will hardly be mentioned when/if the infomercial comes out. "So and so lost ______pounds and ______ inches doing _______ for sixty days!" Um, yeah, what about the diet they were practically forced to follow?

Can you tell this is a sore spot with me?

It is a sore spot for me too. Unrealistic expectations. If you just ate what they gave you and took a walk everyday you would probably look great.
