Interesting-looking kettlebell workout on YouTube

The instructor is an RKC, yet this doesn't look like any kettlebell workout I've seen. There are no swings or cleans, but there are slingshots, tactical lunges and Russian twists combined with a lot of floor moves that look like joint mobility meets breakdancing. Check it out:

The same channel has dance, yoga and other workouts.

Thank you very much for posting this, Sue! This looks very interesting and it's timely for me. I've been getting back into kettlebells and just yesterday was also watching videos online of "primal movement" bodyweight approaches, which look interesting. I saw the same sort of movement patterns in the bits of this video I watched, and when I looked up the instructor saw that he is trained in that fitness modality as well. Also, he's a model who seems to have been in a nude calendar (ahem - not holding that against him in any way).

I look forward to giving this a try - it really does look quite original and creative, and like just what I've been looking for.... since yesterday. Like I said - timely.

I tried it tonight, and that guy sure made it look easy - I was flopping around like a fish out of water But what a neat twist (literally) on kettlebell workouts! I'll keep trying, and I hope to see more from him.

Thanks Sue! I'm watching it now. I'm intrigued - primal movements and kettlebells sounds like a great combination.

(btw - his twitter page background is ... ahem, interesting)

They posted another, 40-minute circuit workout that combines kettlebell exercises with barre-like exercises using a towel, chair and band. The instructor reminds me of Keli Roberts
