It features some barre moves, yoga stretches, some ab work in c-curve and regular crunches and a sprinkle of weight-free arm exercises. It's perfect for a light day, to stretch and release after the tougher workouts or while traveling, as you don't need any equipment. Even though it's a workout with actual strength moves and not just an easy going stretch thingy I really felt better/less sore after doing it. Also, I think this is one of the prettiest workouts by Hamelin - visually I mean. I really like the raw and unedited feel of all the other spaces he uses, I kind of feel "there" sweating and working out with him and/or the girls/guys, but this one adds another layer of visual appeal that makes even better. Also, the music mix he suggested for this one goes amazingly with the moves (again, not a surprise, as he always chooses great music, but in this case I have to say it feels "extra special") Let me know how you like it when you try it. I also got the new upcoming matics, did you?

Can you explain doing a "detox" with it? Didn't you get fabulous results doing one of the Thighmatics in that way? Sorry to ask you here, but I don't have access to the FB site and you are my all things Hamelin guru! |

The detox rotation is doing a particular "matic" workout at least five times a week, along with cardio and extra toning for better results. The new glutematics is 74 min long, so I'm miles away in terms of endurance to be able to do that one and some other toning or cardio day in and day out for up to six weeks. I did do a detox with thighmatics last year, and this year I finished another one, but I split the workout in halves (as Hamelin advised someone that could be done), so I added both the classes and cardio to 20-ish min of thighmatics 1 and I got results just as good as when I was doing the full workout. This is a rotation that Hamelin put together that you can use as a general guideline for a bootcamp with any of the lower body "matics": Week1. Day1. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding. Thighmatics 1 2min plank pose Day2. CardioBliss, http://youtu.be/7NBrtgQnCzw Thighmatics 1 Day3. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding Workout1, https://vimeo.com/16308817 2min plank pose Day4. Thighmatics 1 w. light ankle weights Classic arm/shoulder, http://youtu.be/RLp2N8RYbOE Day5. CardioTone 4, http://youtu.be/uI9h52-6HmI Thighmatics 1 Day6. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding Workout1, https://vimeo.com/16308817 Day7. Rest - or 1hr power walk 2min plank pose --- Week2. Day1. Thighmatics 1 w. light ankle weights Classic arm/shoulder, http://youtu.be/RLp2N8RYbOE Day2. CardioBliss, http://youtu.be/7NBrtgQnCzw Thighmatics 1 Day3. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding Workout2, https://vimeo.com/15766545 3min plank pose Day4. 1hr power walk or 1hr run 3min plank pose Day5. Thighmatics 1 Classic arm/shoulder, http://youtu.be/RLp2N8RYbOE Day6. CardioTone 4, http://youtu.be/uI9h52-6HmI Thighmatics 1 Day7. Rest - or 45-60min swim 3min plank pose --- Week3. Day1. 3min plank pose Thighmatics 1 w. light ankle weights Day2. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding Workout1, https://vimeo.com/16308817 Classic arm/shoulder, http://youtu.be/RLp2N8RYbOE Day3. 3min plank pose Thighmatics 1 Day4. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding Thighmatics 1 w. light ankle weights Day5. 3min plank pose Thighmatics 1 Day6. 1hr power walk or run 3min plank pose Day7. Rest --- Week4. Day1. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding Thighmatics 1 w. light ankle weights Day2. 3min plank pose Thighmatics 1 Day3. CardioTone 4, http://youtu.be/uI9h52-6HmI Classic arm/shoulder, http://youtu.be/RLp2N8RYbOE Day4. 3min plank pose Thighmatics 1 Day5. 1hr power walk or run Workout2, https://vimeo.com/15766545 Day6. Warm up, 20min jump rope or 20min rebounding Thighmatics 1 Day7. Rest Or you can split Glutematics and do cardio and upper body/abs toning. Hamelin stops after the pretzels and goes to another room (the tree in the background suddenly disappears )

I have the endurance, I think, but not necessarily the time... And, right now, we're having a ridiculous heatwave that has me sweating just typing this You gave me a real good idea of how to work the rotation, thank you! I really want to add in kundalini (I know Hamelin likes it) and so will tweak accordingly. The odd thing is that my problem area is actually my middle (I'm very short-waisted) and not my glutes or hips (both smaller than I'd like), but I've found that working that area really does help slim me down in my lower abs and helps me build up a bum (to counter-act my top-heaviness). This will be a very interesting 4 week experiment! (Just gutted I missed the Rambert series ) |

I sent an inquiry about Rambert on 28 June and still haven't heard anything (very unusual!). If I hear about purchase options I will let you know. I didn't want to buy series 5, but am very interested in Rambert. It's a shame that it seems unlikely to be in the webshop in the near future.

Just a heads up, I also inquired via email and Nina just got back to me yesterday to apologize for the delay and say she will send a more detailed message as she had just returned from being out of town so hopefully you will be contacted soon!
