Post Do you need a tinfoil hat AND tinfoil in your wallet?

There have been news stories recently of high-tech gadgets that can read through a purse or wallet and steal your credit card info via a chip implanted in newer credit cards:

http://www.fox5vegas.com/news/26947272/detail.html

DH saw a story where the info can also be read from the magnetic strip on the card.

One can't be too careful about protecting oneself from alien mind-controlling rays OR credit card info theft!

(I have no affiliation with Reynolds aluminum foil products).

Great. Will it help if I wrap my cards in tinfoil before using them?

DH saw a newshow today that showed how people shoplift. They line bags with tinfoil so the alarms will not go off when they leave the store.

I guess I can start making handmade designer bags lined with tinfoil. Perhaps I will get rich if I do it fast and first.

My friend used to line her purse with aluminum foil so she could take all the eggrolls off the buffet at restaurants. That was so embarrassing!

Actually, depending on what passport you travel on, it might be a good idea to coat that in tinfoil too.

Never can be too careful!

Some sites, like Travelsmith, sell passport holders that are lined to prevent scanning of the info.
