dr gave me prednisone and a new topical

wow

there is already a difference
it's still pretty miserable

and, unrelated to the meds, there is a poison ivy tainted shoe on my roof.

LOL, with the shoe. You have to be so careful if it is on something. Ironically I am on vacation this week and I've been going for walks and OMG there is so much poison ivy. I'm so paranoid when a car goes by and I have to move that I am going to step in it. I itch looking at the darn stuff. As soon as I get back to my friends house I'm carefully taking off my sneakers after my walk. I have the worst reaction when I get poison ivy. I will cry if I get it.

So glad you are feeling a little bit better.

Goats love to eat poison ivy. But then you can't touch the goats, as the poison ivy comes out their pores.

Goats eating ivy

More goats eating ivy

Goats!

Wow, it comes out of the goats' pores? I will have to be more careful petting goats from now on (yes, it is a part of my life).

One of my sons and I are pretty sensitive. Sadly, he won't even walk in our woods anymore (which have a very wide, clear path). We can't let our dogs run off without knowing that we'll have to give them a shower right away when we come back.

As bad as poison ivy rash it, though, it's NOTHING compared to chigger bites! Talk about being afraid to walk in your own yard without fearing that those little chompers will attack! And you don't even realize it until a few days later! B@st@rds!!!
