The Method standing pilates

I'm looking for some standing pilates workouts. I have neck issues, so I'm leery of doing things on the floor that might put my neck in a compromised position.

I see that Mary has several 'The Method' dvds for $8.99, and I was wondering if anyone uses these?

I'm looking at: Standing Pilates Blend, Perfect Pilates, Pilates Fusion, Pilates Target Specifics, Dynamic Firming and Flexing, and Dynamic Toning Yoga.

The video clips at Mary's are fairly short, so there may be some floorwork in these. Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks

Sorry, I can't answer your question. Just wanted you to be aware that Standing Pilates Blend is the exact same workout as Pilates Fusion.

Standing Pilates Blend has some floorwork in the second half, but to be honest, I only ever do the first half to get my standing work groove on. I do love this workout though!

I used to have dynamic firm and flex but traded it. It felt good but like a good stretch vs a good workout. Some of it's on floor and some is done standing.

I would highly recommend Ellen Barrett's workouts such as barefoot cardio and fat burning fusion. I feel that they are much like standing pilates and give a total body workout and I never hit the floor. I had the same objective as you, to find some good standing pilates workouts and no floorwork. I feel totally satisfied with Ellen Barrett's workouts. I also have the Method's Pilates Fusion workout, but have never used it. As was mentioned, the first half is standing...and I believe it's done by the ocean...I remember the scenery was nice.

I have all The Methods and love many of them. I really like Standing Pilates Blend. One that is good that is similar is Target Specifics Plus. It uses the same beach scene and the moves are similar. The clips are very representative of the workouts, so I would recommend theses two if you like the looks. I also really like The Method's Integrated Yoga.

I love Standing Pilates Blend/Pilates Fusion. It's a great workout.

I actually used to do it on a regular basis a few years back. I really like standing/balance workouts.I don't have very good balance, so I need to get back to doing this workout.

I have it in my "to do" stack of workouts I want to get back to doing.
