I've always been a big Stott fan, but then I learned Pilates from a live Stott instructor and also had another great live Stott-trained instructor for a while. I won't say Stotts are a party in a box, but I like their Level 3 Core Challenge. I also rather like the Pilates Weight Loss Boost (3 shorter and progressive routines on a reasonably priced disc) and the matwork series (I have the 2nd edition Intermediate and 2nd and 3rd edition Advanced - there's no reason to track down one edition if you have another, honestly).
Another vote here for Jules Benson's Total Core Pilates. It's not classical Pilates, which is part of its appeal for many folks, and yet someone like me who prefers Pilates straight up (as in not fusion) can also find much to appreciate about it.
Hey, Mari Winsor fans, no need to qualify your statements or feel guilty! I actually feel bad I can't get into her stuff, but I blame the sound quality on my a/v equipment for at least some of that, since her voice and snapping come out harsher than I suspect they are in real life.
