Question KCM, your fave/most used? Why?

Please tell me about your fave KCM or KCM premix and why you utilize it as often as you do.

I went on a binge and bought up most of her workouts- too many, too fast and now they are all kinda mushed together in my head like a big pile of cardio wts blended together and I don't remember which to pull out for what I'm looking to do on any given day.

I did Shape Up the other day and it felt perfect. Metabolic, Tabata yet not over the top (cough, Tabatasize, cough). She used wts (10s and 8s I think) but I wouldn't sub the wt work for "back day" or anything. So, Tabata training that utilizes wts, increasing the metabolic factor, short if you just do one of the workouts and not a premix. Time went by quickly and I felt worked out but not traumatized (that is subjective and relative, I know, one person's trauma is another's party time).

My KCM's are among my most used so I love all of them but here are the ones I reach for the most:

The Boxing premix on Trim Down--it's so much fun and I get a great cardio workout in only 30 minutes, especially if I wear my weighted gloves

Circuit Burn--I love doing the entire workout but when I'm short on time I like the Boxing/Sculpting premix because I get my cardio and strength in 30 minutes

TLC--Workout 1 is so much fun and perfect for lower-intensity days

ETA: Reasons why I like the workouts
My favorite Kellys are as follows:
  • Muscle Definition - I like that the workouts are short and hit every muscle group. It also feels like you get a bit of a rest between sets, so I never feel rushed. Minimal equipment is a plus, and I love the music!
  • Cardio Blast - This has two good workouts - a great HIIT type workout and a nice step workout with simple, but intense choreography. Actually, both workouts have simple but not boring choreography. Great to do in the morning when my mind is not fully awake but I want a sweaty workout. Good music too.
  • Total Body Kickbox - I am one of the few that likes that this workout is mostly punches but it still gets the heart rate up. There are times when I work out my lower body so much that I just cannot do cardio with a lower body emphasis. My DOMS is so bad that even kickboxing makes me sore. That's when workouts like this one are good. Mostly upper body emphasis, simple choreography, and decent music.
  • Shape Up - I like this one because it leaves me a sweaty mess and takes "tabata" training to a different place for me. This is one of the few workouts where I can do weights and cardio at the same time and still feel like I got a decent workout. I generally like to work my strength and cardio on separate days. However, I really like this workout. I can go up and down with this workout and not feel dizzy, Kelly is very encouraging, the moves are simple but not boring, and I get in good strength and cardio. The music is also good.
  • Ready, Step, Go - simple moves with high intensity. Great for a morning workout.

What's so funny is that Muscle Definition and Cardio Blast used to be my least favorites. I also like Step Boxing, but it's been awhile. Maybe I should pull that one out to see if my tastes have changed? So many workouts, so little time

What's even funnier is that I noticed that, while I prefer complex choreography, I like most of these because the moves are non-fussy, simple, and get the heart rate up. Maybe it's because I switched to morning workouts?

TLC, which seems to be well-liked by everyone. It seems to always come up on the KCM-love threads. I like everything about it.

Diana, thanks for these! I have most of those DVDs, but haven't quite fallen in love with any of my KCMs yet. I'll be sure to give these premixes a try! I don't have Total Body Kickbox, because it seems like her kickboxing workouts are very punch-heavy, but a kick-focused mix makes this much more tempting.

As I ran into health problems, I started using Start Here the most. It was the right level and I enjoyed the progression of moves in some of the premixes.

Now that my knee has been replaced, I hope to get back to some of her other workouts eventually.

Right now it's HGI I just love the flow from cardio intervals to weight work. The weight work is really fun.
