I like this brand a lot, it's pricey and you can only get through their site, but the Uni Key Body Protein is a mix of pea and brown rice protein that tastes great with fruit blended in. They claim they have passed third party testing for heavy metals. I know some non proteins had a problem with that. I read up on vegan protein powders, and it seems this combo provides a more complete protein than any other veggie protein could provide on it's own. There are other pea/brown rice proteins but I have not tried them.

You save a little by buying 2, but you can buy just 1.

I took a look at that PETA list and the YUVE one looks interesting, I just ordered the free packet, well free-ish, I paid $4 for shipping, but seemed fair to be able to try it.

ETA: Also ordered the 4 pack of Epic to try each flavor, not bad for $15 and free shipping. I have been looking for a flavor other than vanilla that I can blend with just ice instead of fruit.

One question - how do you feel about the taste of stevia? The vast majority of plant-based proteins use it as a sweetener, so if you don't like it, better to look at unsweetened/unflavored ones.

I suffered through several protein powders before concluding stevia will always taste to me like a mixture of dirt and saccharine, and so now stick with unflavored hemp.

3rd vote for Garden of Life---coffee is my favorite

Plant Fusion is much sweeter but the chocolate flavor is pretty good mixed with berries. Agree about stevia--if there is an abundance I can't drink protein mix straight up but diluting with greens/berries usually works.

Love the Warrior Blend! The chocolate has a cherry after taste. Very good!

Sun Warrior has a new blend, Classic Plus, which comes in the usual 3 flavors, natural, vanilla and chocolate. Protein ingredients: organic pea, organic brown rice, organic quinoa, organic chia seed, organic amaranth
