Shall we have a Self-Care Challenge for August? Or, maybe just a permanent, no-stress Check-In?

What do you think?
My meditation and Bible study are regular habits now (have been working on it since March, I'd say).

Sleep hygiene still sucks.

I heard and read too many outside things this month and my anxiety is the highest it's been in many months. I need to work on ignoring people.

Next month I plan to go to the nearby state park once a week for Cyric's morning walk. He needs the variety and I need the woods. Every day would be nice but it's a out a 20 minute drive each way.

I would continue popping in for an August check in.

I think it's a good idea to keep up physical and mental health. This has been a good activity for me.

It's helps me to focus on doing something fun.

I make sure that I listen to comedians or TV shows so I can laugh at the end of the day before I go to bed.

I thought this was a good question and was interested in what others said. I'm going to say there is probably a sweet spot. After awhile I would no longer be meditating. Learning how to tape into that state at different times of the day I would imagine is very beneficial.

I've been consistent with a 3 min daily practice since I posted and am happy with that. Another 3 min would probably be good too, but I'm not going to push it right now that's something for the future!

Everyone here helped me to come to a new self care routine. I am going to go to the park and get on the swings and play equipment. The kids in the neighborhood rarely use the park. Our neighborhood is now filled with more under 5 than school age children.

So I am going to swing on a swing.

I'll start an August self-care thread for anyone who wants to join.
