Judy, I'm so sorry you lost your breakfast buddy. I'm so glad though that you had the chance to watch Dash just be a dog these last months. Still, I know it is just heartbreaking for you now. Hugs to you.

I'm so sorry you had to put your pup down. I know how tough this is. It will take a few days for the pain to go away, but then all the fun, cool, goofy and crazy good times will take it's place. :-)

My dog was on meds for cushings for about 3 years and he too had a huge tumor. He eventually died from kidney failure. I saw it coming but I still wasn't ready. I didn't wake up that morning expecting to have to put my pup down. Something kind of cool and weird happend a couple of mornings later though.

I was at my computer and right under my nose and to the right I could smell Chui. I used to always say I loved his puppy smell (not the wet pup smell but the clean pup smell). His smell was so strong and it was a little to my right. When I sniffed to the left I didn't smell him but his smell was strong on my right. As far as I'm concerned, it was a visit. :-)

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet puppy. You and your husband gave him the most unselfish, generous, loving gift of all---a dignified, peaceful passing.

My angel dogs--Agnes, Maud, and Maeve---will show him all the good places to chase bunnies around Rainbow Bridge. While it gets easier with time, sometimes you never really get over the loss. And that's perfectly fine.
