I have no idea what the right answer is, but I always thought of AWT as weight training light enough and fast enough to have an aerobic effect. Metabolic workouts may not be strength exercises, could be bodyweight or just cardio. So now I'm thinking AWT is a sub-set of metabolic workouts.
