One move that bothers you

So, what's the one move that just bothers you. Me, triceps dips. They bother my wrists. Oh, I can do 4-5 but much after that and my wrists start to hurt. So more often than not, I sub heavy french press.

What about you?

I was going to say tricep dips LOL wrist pain o'rama! Second is "bunny lunges" where plie stance is begining, then you angle out to do the lunge, then return. Always makes me feel my inner knee 'parts'. I'd rather do floor work with ankle weights & dumbbells to hit those 'parts'.

Never done a bunny lunge, but I'll chime in about triceps dips too. I just won't do 'em at all. Heavy French Press or kickbacks instead.

Any move that involves quick pivots. Oh my poor knees! Also jumping jacks, jump rope and high knees due to pelvic floor issues. I can do these moves on the rebounder okay, but on the floor is a train wreck.

Ack! All of the above.

The Tree pose in yoga always gives me fits, I can't do it. (For different reasons than tricep dips, plyo moves and quick pivots.)

Toppling over is so embarrassing, and I'm always worried that I'll hurt myself.

Stepping into lunges over and over bothers my knees. I also dislike jumping jacks.

Upright rows. It took me a while to connect the discomfort and aching I felt with this move, but thanks to this forum it finally clicked. I feel much better without them. Thanks VF'ers!

Burpees! They send my SI joint out of whack.

Box Jumps!

There are so many reasons to dislike this move. The main one is that it's dangerous. If you miss the step, you'll fall backwards and break something (not that I would know anything about that...). If you miss you could also fall forward and crash into the mirror that's in front of you. I've seen that happen at my gym.

Much safer, and just as effective in my opinion, are step ups one leg at a time.

That said, I recently saw David Pollack (former Georgia Bulldog football player and now a college football analyst for ESPN) do a crazy high box jump. He performed it on a College Game Day broadcast. Amazing!
