Hi all. Went for a beach walk yesterday, then stayed home. My organic coop has implemented curbside pick up so it's a relief to have that as an option.

I am so relieved that my DS got home safely from his business travel.

I heard a rumor that my workplace may remain closed. I have to sneak in there to do payroll at the least! The casino has suspended most table games, keno and bingo, shut down the buffet and a lot of the restaurants. One area is open for slots - for now. This is starting to hit me in the pocketbook.

Our state court system has suspended all judicial proceedings that do not involve criminal and DCF matters. I'm praying my court doesn't shut down too.

Pam, I am happy that your toe has mended so well. Snoopy dance! Your husband was wise for putting his foot down. I'm sure everyone understands.

Stay well Sherry and everyone.

Oh yes - besides COVID anxiety - I walked at the beach yesterday.

Hello everyone!

Today’s offerings:
~Outdoor walk through our neighborhood & by the beach - We want to get out every day for a walk & some fresh air.
~Essentrics PCW 9 - standing segment
~headstand - finally back on my beloved headstand bench
~Ellen’s Prayer Flow - This was lovely, meditative, all standing.

DH and are are definitely social distancing. We have our eldest granddaughter coming tomorrow for a few days as it’s spring break. That will keep us busy.

Pat - Your beach walk looked lovely & I'm glad your DS is home safely! I’m concerned about my youngest son in Ireland. He finishes up med school at the end of April & I hope he is able to get home. He starts orientation for his family medicine residency here on the Island in mid June.

Sherry & Pat - Yes along with the scary health implications, the financial implications of this outbreak are also alarming. I feel for those who can’t go to work. Our federal government has put some measures in place to provide quicker access to unemployment insurance for those who need it.

DH was set to go to the gym yesterday but I reminded him how sick he gets with bronchitis and how people tend to exhale deeply when working out, so he won't be going. Which sucks because he had finally gotten into the habit. We had a very nice walk at the beach and did some shell and rock hunting.

I'm out again this week and need to get busy with working out, no more excuses.

Pam, I agree with you. This is a good time to get as much sun and fresh air as we can. Sending positive thoughts for your DS in Ireland.

Good morning to Sherry, Kate, Cyana and anyone who pops in. Stay well everyone!

Good morning!

I am relieved to say we aren’t having our granddaughter come to stay as much as we love having her. Her mom has been ordered to work from home & DS, who is in food sales, is also working from home & doing virtual meetings. He is swamped with orders as stores are scrambling with people stocking up.

Pat - Walking will be on the menu for me again again, it’s a lovely sunny day here. And I agree that gyms are best avoided!

Back later to post my workouts.....

Hello ladies. Wow strange times we are in. I am very very glad I have my Yoga and meditation to keep me centered. It's hard not to freak out and buy dozens of packages of toilet paper! What is up with that anyway?!?!

Today I did a love practice from Power Yoga and Dan Ward called See More. Very slow moving but also challenging practice. No killer poses, just lots of slow holds and flow. I really like Dan's Yoga.

Sorry to be brief...big waves and hugs to you all! I can give you virtual hugs all day long!

Hi everyone!

Today’s workouts:
~Neighborhood walk by the shore
~Classical Stretch 1301 Stretch & Strengthen the Calves
~Jessica’s Metabolism Booster: Upper Body Circuit Walk - this was a gift from my Secret Santa that I’ve never gotten to because of my saga of foot issues. It’s a good one, really enjoyed it.
~Headstand
~MFML: Nourishing Yin
~Youtube: Vfer Toaster’s breath meditation & supported child’s pose - I occasionally lurk on the barefoot check in & saw that Beth had posted a link. It was very nice, she did a reading about child’s pose from “Myths of the Asanas”. I love seeing & meeting vfers!

Kate - All this hoarding stuff and reselling stuff for a profit is so disappointing!

Waves, hugs, and healthy vibes going out to all!

A quick post and run - Sunday got away from me as I was bulk cooking.

I went out for a walk last evening after dark. I live in town and we have sidewalks and street lights, so I feel very safe out. I usually run into several neighbors while out - I saw two people farther down the street walking their dogs, but it was eerily quiet. I enjoyed the respite from the computer and the news and with the exception of a certain feline who felt the need to wake up the humans twice during the night, I slept the best I have in days.

Lee Holden is giving away an Immunity Bundle - https://secure.holdenqigong.com/immunity-emergency-kit/ - it includes one of his class practices as well as the 20 minute Better Breathing and Qi Gong for Anxiety practices. I own both of those practices and can honestly say the Anxiety practice is my go to when I feel my stress levels getting out of control.

Must get my work day started. Will try to get back for a chat soon. Stay well!

I took a rest day yesterday. Both my knees were really cranky.

This morning I did Planet Motion Dance with Kendra Howard. I don't think I've done this one in about six years! It was fun. I needed something lower key to protect my knees. I will try for yoga later.

Cyana-thanks for the Lee Holden link. We can all use that right now!

Pat-glad you could sneak in and get done what you needed to get done.

Pam-great job on your workouts!

Kate-I need to follow your lead and get to doing regular meditation. I am terrible about it.

Things are just weird. I went to the grocery store yesterday, so I am staying in today.

I'll check back later.

Take care,
Sherry

Hello yoginis.

Happy St Patrick’s Day, although it doesn’t feel very happy. DH and I toasted our grandmothers as we always do, his Irish Granny & my Nana who was born on St Patrick’s Day in 1893.

I hope everyone is safe and well. We finally have DS2 and his wife coming home from Ireland on Sunday, I hope it goes smoothly for them. I’m not sleeping very well & I know it’s the worry of it all. I’ll feel much better when they are on Canadian soil!

Today’s workouts:
~Trail walk
~Essentrics PCW 7 - standing half
~Ellen’s Sleek Side Body - this is okay, pleasant enough, only 15 min. One of her background exercisers is a bit distracting, not great form & looks like she’d rather be somewhere else, lol.
~Headstand
~MFML: Happy Hips & Hamstrings.

Thanks for the Holden link Cyana!

Sherry - Yes, things are indeed weird, I hope it’s not the new normal. Glad you enjoyed your dance workout!

Waves to all!

Hi,

I slept like crap and woke up at 4:40 am to TOM cramps (sigh....)

I pushed myself to do a gentle cardio workout since my knees are still cranky. I did Bollywood be Moved. I forgot how SLOW this workout is, plus apparently my dvd has gone bad! It started pixelating in the last ten minutes. Oh, well. I've only used it about three times in the six years since I bought it, so it isn't a favorite. I bought it from Mary. I may contact her about it. I am not going to ask for a replacement or return since it's been so long. I just want to notify her about it.

I will do qi gong/yoga/meditation later for sure. My brain is on overload.

I will check back later.

Sherry
