The stupidest fitness advice I've read in ages!

https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/...good-exercise/

"By most estimates, rebound exercise is, at best, aerobically mild, requiring less effort than bowling and about the same as playing croquet."

The article author has obviously never been on a rebounder!

The date on that article was 2015, though I do admit it's a lame article. THIS is a more up to date study. Rebounding has been vindicated.

You're welcome. I hope you love your Bellicon as much as I love mine.

The NY Times health and wellness section has taken a steep downhill plunge recently. That rebounding article is nonsense.

Rebounding is highly recommended by many health related experts. It's reported to be very good for your lymph system, etc.

I have peripheral neuropathy and bouncing is the number one exercise recommended for the condition.

Considering all of the nerve damage symptoms I have suffered over the past 10 years, I truly believe if I had not discovered bouncing, I would have been in a wheel chair by now. The specialist I am seeing has said my muscle tone is very good and to keep on doing whatever I have been doing.

I don't know if anyone listen's to the quick-and-dirty tips podcasts, but I love the Get Fit Guy (the Nutrition Diva one is awesome too).

At any rate, he did a podcast on all the benefits of rebounding - here is an article link (there is a link to the show episode in the article). http://www.quickanddirtytips.com/hea...e-your-fitness

Here are a couple of fun facts from the article I didn't know: "For example, during World War II, trampolines were used to help increase the spatial awareness and balance abilities of pilots. NASA has studied trampoline training for astronauts and found it to be (similar to this latest study) just as effective as running, with no significant differences in maximal heart rate, maximal oxygen uptake or energy expenditure when exercising on a mini-trampoline compared to treadmill running"
