Yay spring! I am FINALLY reading Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning; in fact, I'm almost finished.

I read that years ago and found it to be the most heartbreaking, amazing and inspirational book ever. I have always been surprised that it is so under the radar.

Because of Beth I ordered too many yoga books from the library and am trying to get through them!

Books galore!!

I've been re-reading a bunch of Robin Hobb books during my recovery from a hysterectomy. I needed something familiar that would hold my attention without demanding too much thought, and this author has written so much I knew I wouldn't run out of books before I was ready. Began with the two newest Fitz and Fool books that I bought in mass market paperback so I could have my own copies. After that I moved back to the beginning, the Farseer trilogy. FINALLY am reaching the end of Assassin's Quest, the third in that series. Somehow the last quarter of the book is moving very slowly for me. I will finish this tonight, I'm determined, LOL!!

Her work is kind of dark/horrifying, so I'm thinking I'll take a break and read something else once I'm done with this one.

Lucky for me, I stocked up in preparation, and have a new Anna Lee Huber (some sort of romance, only started it, haven't continued yet), another genre mystery (with tarot cards somehow involved, that one hasn't grabbed me yet either).

If those are duds, I have a new Lois McMaster Bujold book (Penric and the Shaman) and the new Elly Griffiths (Blood Card).

If I'm feeling philosophical, I've got a copy of Buddhism: A Concise Introduction by Huston Smith. So far a very good read, but my morning routine has been a bit chaotic, and I've held off on reading more til I'm feeling more focused.

If books don't do it for me, I've got jigsaw puzzles galore. (Somehow I'm not in the mood to watch dvds.)

Thanks!

So far so good in my recovery, just trying to force myself to be patient, abide by the rules we've established and just wait for the day I can really MOVE again.

And hey, I did it! Finished Assassin's Quest while eating dinner. Whew.

Can't decide if I want to go with Ship of Magic, or just move on to something else entirely for a while. Five Robin Hobb books in a row is maybe a bit much, but it has been interesting to reread the earlier books while the newest two are so clear in my mind.

LOL--I refuse to accept responsibility.

Seriously, let us know what you got and how you like them! I haven't even read all my own yoga books.

Another Saturday, another visit to the bookstore. Actually bought a book AND a fitness dvd, even though I won't be doing anything but walking for a while.

The movie Lion is based on a memoir by Saroo Brierley, so I decided to get the book before I see the movie.
