If you are really into using a belt, I HIGHLY recommend a Power Belt. They are not cheap, but the quality is much better than Leslie's belts. I've had mine for several years now and I love it. They are still available on Amazon.

I don't like Leslie's ab belt. Without adding extra cords it isn't that strong (as Val pointed out) but the rubber cords decompose very quickly. I have had 3 and they've all shredded and weakened very quickly. I've hung onto the belts because I've felt I could attach stretchie bands to the loops instead. Or just use dumbbells, as I always do.

I didn't see it on eBay or Amazon last night - with or without the belt. I ordered from Leslie for a total of $27.90. Bummer, since I'll never use the belt. Is it really that valuable? Why wouldn't a person just use a band? I have about 20 of those Plus, I rarely do Leslie's band stuff. She seems to just throw arm stuff in here and there with no real plan for working all the muscles. Of course, I don't think the walks are pre-planned either - or maybe she just makes them seem that way.

Joni O, I used a resistance band to replace the belt last night and it worked just fine. Heck, if you have a long enough band and want the feel of the belt, I guess you could just wrap it around your waist The Walk Belt is one of Leslie's boosters I never did understand

I am sure I am in the minority, but I actually love the walk belt! If there is not enough resistance, I just hold on to the band part instead of the handles. I think I just like the variety of the belt, since I do a lot of workouts with resistance bands and/or dumbbells. You could easily sub either of those and just mimic the belt exercises though. Wrist weights would also be a nice substitute.

Oh wow, I guess that's a sign then that I haven't used mine often enough , none of them are shredded or show any signs of wear! LOL

I do her walk belt (and resistance band) workouts without a booster. I pump my arms while Leslie uses the belt. And because she walks in place a lot while she's using it, I just freestyle. I like using that time to do lunges, kickbacks, or knee lifts. It's funny because her walk belt workouts are some of my favorites even though I hate the belt. LOL

I like the belt also Diana. I bought extra cords several years ago to get more resistance. I think in one of her workouts Jimmy uses 3 cords.
