Hi,
I have this Garmin Forerunner 45 on my Xmas list, lol. I probably won't pair it with my Tracfone (still old school here and don't use my cell phone very much). What I liked about this GPS watch was that the battery life is 14 hours (GPS mode) and 7 days in Fitness Tracker mode. It also comes in a "smaller" version so it will fit my wrist better. They usually pick up the GPS without being hooked up to internet or cell. Kind of like a Tom Tom or any other GPS device. https://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com...r-45-gps-watch I have a Garmin Forerunner 15 now (discontinued) that is very basic but the battery life is only 6-7 hours so I have to charge it often and it's not really ideal for longer runs. Hope that helps. There are lots of options out there! But I've had a few different versions of Garmin Forerunner and never had an issue with any of them.

This is the one I have. I think it's an older model. I don't know anything about the Vivoactive 3 but I feel like it would be hard to go wrong with a Garmin!
