Monday - I'm at it - on holidays for 2 weeks - good kick-start. Had a slack time due to the twisted knee & going too hard too soon & it collapsing beneath me mid workout (Christi hi/low) but I was TRYING to be careful! and NO TWISTS!
So then I was too scared to do anything but walk. The dog had lots of walks! Tuesday - really pleased with how Imax went - only 6", only intervals 1-5, very little jumps - foot JUST leaving the platform, but DID the jumps. Wednesday - only a long dog walk, couple of hours though. Thursday - all of Cathe' Interval Max, but not at my previous level. Once I could do it full bore on an 8" step - even interval 10 with the blasted 2x plyo jack + air-jack + tuck-jump. Nope, all plyos. I was very tired by then & landing on this knee from a tuck jump? Nope, not risking that just when it's feeling at 90%. Not going backwards.

Helen, it is so easy to make one wrong move in a split second and spend months waiting for the body to heal. Keep on being careful.
I hope buff and Vannie have some fun outdoor activities to enjoy the fall weather. I pushed the miles the last few days to get my mile count on Map My Run higher for September than August, but I think it was a bit much on my hammy/butt. I'll back off now it's a new month. Sandy O

Sandy, I wish I had more time in the fall to be outside but really don't. If I can motivate buffboy maybe Columbus Day we can get a hike in. Fingers crossed.
After 6 months (?!) of pilates I can finally feel some spinal articulation!!! Spine stretch forward was explained today and I think I got it for the most part. Saw no longer seems like the gods laughing at me. Yup, I believe in savoring the little things.

29 degrees this morning! I knew there was a frost advisory but I still wasn't expecting it.
I've had a rough week. I didn't realize how much I was using baseball to avoid feelings. I'm feeling sad and anxious and have had headaches most days this week. I did workout some. I did Classical Stretch (still can't get into this) or yoga every morning before breakfast and the only other thing I can remember right now was CLX Burn Circuit 2 on Tuesday. I baked cookies after the Twins were eliminated from playoffs bc I was so depressed. Yesterday I made sausage rolls for my father-in-law.

Whoooahhh!!! That's -2 in my money!
((hugs)) Sorry you're in the doldrums. One day at a time - hell, one HOUR at a time? Planning the NEXT hour before you start what's planned for THIS hour can work wonders - you always have something you know you're doing next. The slow build up of productivity then makes you feel a lot better. Classical Stretch - not my thing either. I've done some, but it doesn't click with me as "Hey, this is great!" SANDY These injuries (shoulder & knee) are the FIRST in my LIFE! Never broken so much as a pinky-toe, never had a stitch, never torn a muscle or sprained an ankle before so I'm a complete novice about dealing with it. Reminders to be overly cautious are well heeded. Thanks. Right back at you though for those runs & your hamstring/glute. BUFF Pilates is NOT easy to master. Kudos for making noticeable progress! FRIDAY Spent much of the day weeding to get it done before driving to the farm Sat. Some weeds required standing up & doing a seriously weighted rising squat to pull them up. So that last night did Les Mills Body Balance 35.
