Pilates Cross-trainers JULY 2022

Hi everyone!

Early this morning I did:

CS S14E12 - Spine Flexibility - 24min.
Lindsay Brin's High Energy Pilates A - 30min.

I don't have my lab results back yet from my annual check up. Blood used to be drawn on premises and I would get my results the same day. They no longer do that in their office and they've sent me to an outside lab and results won't be in until sometime next week. I'm pretty sure I'll also get a separate bill from the lab too.

Donna, I'll have to see a spine and bone specialist and I'm on my own for that. My dr is a PCP and when I mentioned my joints and lumbar spine issue, she just looked at me with blank expression on her face. My appt was at 8am and I don't know if she's not a morning person or what, but she seemed to be half-asleep during my appointment.

I've been looking for a new scale and I bought Withings Body Plus smart scale and I LOVE IT! It's so much fun to play with the app and it tells you so much more than you need to know, but then, I'm a gadget person and I'm loving it.

Hi Carol! Enjoy your time off.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy July!

Back to working out - today I did

Silver & Fit - Advanced Strength with Adita 6/14/22 - 30 minutes

This was a good fairly straight forward strength workout using a light and medium pair of dumbbells. I used 3's and 6's and grabbed my 7s for some of the floorwork. I generally like Adita's strength workouts and this was no different.

Thanks Dana for starting us!

Hi,

Today's workout:

Jenny Ford - Seven Summit Step Challenge # 1 of 65 - this was a basic step routine....but I can tell I have improved my cardio capacity so that is encouraging.

I also did the "rejuvenate" stretch from Jessica's stretch DVD.

Carol - I think I did that workout - it was a good one. I would do more from her and I still like Stacey for yoga and Madeleine for cardio. I have to try some of Penny's workouts, too.

Dana - ugh on the Dr. being half asleep.....

Waves, enjoy the weekend!

Today's workout was

Silver & Fit - Intermediate Mixed Format with Penny 2/26/22 - 30 minutes

The format was cardio and strength using resistance tubing. This one was filmed overlooking the beach in Cancun Mexico. Lots of white sand and blue sky and water. Before I settled on this workout, I started another one off a regular channel on YouTube and soon decided that it was going to be more than I wanted. I guess I'll resign myself to the old peoples' channels.

We actually got a little bit of rain this afternoon. It was a welcome break from the 95 degree temps. We're at half our normal rainfall for the year so far, so every little bit helps.

Dana - Annoying that your doctor was half asleep. I'll bet the price was still full price...

It gets worse, Carol. Lab results posted yesterday late afternoon. I checked and noticed that BMP (glucose, kidneys, etc.) was not included in the results. I emailed the office and asked if these are still pending. This morning I got the answer. She FORGOT to put in an order for it, one of the most basic test, and why don't I fast another 12 hours and run over to the lab again for another blood draw! I am livid! And no, the answer is NO! I had another appt with her several months out and I cancelled it. I'm looking for another PCP.

No workout to report for today. I'll get back to it tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a better day today than I did. Waves to all!

Hi Everyone,

Today's workouts:

Ellen - Super Fast Body Blast

Caribbean Workout - Core Pilates- Section 3 - Core & Lower Body - this was a really good one, it has all of my favorite lying-side exercises!

Ellen - Standing Stretch

Dana - Ugh - that is terrible. I don't blame you for looking for another Dr.

Carol - Silver & Fit has some solid workouts, I enjoy them. Just keep on doing what feels good!

Waves, everyone -

Sorry, no workout to report again today. I had to take one Benadryl last night (allergies) and as a result I woke up feeling like a zombie. Tired, unmotivated and with a bad attitude. Hopefully, it'll be a better day tomorrow.

Waves to all!

No workout for me either today. I did spend a couple of hours de-cluttering and hauling stuff to the dumpster or car.

Happy 4th tomorrow!
