I've been tempted because it is a lot of fun, but the bar is set so high. I didn't participate last year, but the gifts I've received previously have been amazing & quite lavish. It's a bit intimidating!

I hate for anyone to be intimidated! I hope you will join, but I totally understand if you do not. I am happy with anything someone sends-just knowing someone thought to select anything for me makes my holiday!

I agree with Sherry! I love anything I receive. Some of the most treasured things I've received have been homemade and didn't cost a lot of money, but were rich in the time spent to make it. It's an honor to receive someone's labor of love.

I feel the same Sherry, am very happy with all the very thoughtful gifts I've received. I like getting used DVDs as I am a big recycler. I have felt a bit guilty when the gift I received is more lavish than the one I sent, that's just me I guess, lol. I need to get over that!

Sabine-I'm hoping I get someone who asks for sweets this year-I love sharing items I've baked, and I don't need to have a lot of it tempting me in our house

That is the only "handmade" skill I have-cooking and baking.

I wish I were crafty and could knit or crochet....I am totally hopeless. I have had two very sweet VF friends send me handmade scarves and I love them both. Another VF friend made me two kindle covers from Snoopy fabric, since she knows my love for Snoopy!
