Have you ever done this??

I am a senior citizen, 68 yrs old now, and have L hip bone on bone arthritis so I walk with a cane (considering hip replacement next yr, gotta get cataracts done first).

At some point, it occurred to me that cashiers were beginning to give me odd looks when I checked out with a fitness oriented magazine like Fitness, Womens Health, Shape, Self -- so at that point I subscribed which I usually don't do with magazines.

Just wondered.

I don't think you should have cared if they give you an odd look... However, I think it's cheaper to subscribe?

Pfft! Who cares what they think. They don't know your story. I get glamour magazines (from time to time) and I sure am not glamorous or even wanting to be.
