I tried to explain to my DH one time how sane and restrained I am, by telling him about some of our VF prodigies . It didn't work like I planned ... his eyes bugged out ... I think he thought I had nearly all of them already.

I'm up there with Karen at well over 1000. It must be a Colorado thing.

It was about a year ago that I got a new shelf, and dh asked me if those were ALL workout dvds. I said, "no" and that some were children's dvds. He was sort of incredulous-I don't think he was aware.

I have more now, and no kid movies on the shelf. In fact I need a new shelf.

That's all I'm sayin'.

I actually just took all my dvds out of the cases and put them into cd binders. I've got around 1200, but that includes each of my itrains on a separate cd and yoga downloads on separate cds as well.
In my defense, it has taken me YEARS to acquire this many.
Yea, I've been collecting since 1985 but I had over 300 when I found VF (in 1996-ish). VF definitely didn't help keep my collection down.

Geez, I'm honored! My local VF friends say coming over to my house is better than going to Borders.

It's amazing how many fitness videos are out there. I actually don't buy every fitness DVD made. Really.

So you're in Colorado too? What part? I'm in the Denver metro area. We should compare collections sometime. That'd be great fun!

Upon opening this thread and reading, I spontaneously lost my ability to count.

I have 59 DVD cases (1 virgin) and 28 VHS (3 virgins).

I thought I had a lot, but I guess not....

Counting each of Cathe's STS Mesocycles as 1 and P90X as 1, then I have 173 DVD cases, not including the 30 or so in the trade/sell drawer. I should probably start to whittle that number down......although I have KCM's on order and just signed up for Jill Miller's At Home program. Ah, the life of a vidiot

Hey, Karen, I'm in the Greeley area. I started in 1985 also, with the Firms. Then I found VF and discovered a whole new world of fitness dvds. It would be great to compare sometime.

I have 400 + BUT a lot of them are in a box to be traded away. I have been trying to come to terms with my problem lately. For example, I don't love yoga at all but have about 30 yoga workouts. Since I'm off for the summer, I plan to try to get my workouts down to a more reasonable number (for me and my available storage space). But, I'm not one to trade a workout that I like even if I rarely do it, because you never know when the mood will strike for that particular workout...
