Foot pain

The left sole of my foot started twinging slightly this past weekend, but it was mild. Yesterday I did some high impact cardio and a few hours later it really started to be painful. And going barefoot is very uncomfortable. It still hurts today, but is better with shoes. Needless to say that I will be laying off the impact, this after I ordered some new high impact workouts. Ugh!

Anyone every experience pain in the sole of their foot?

I've never had this myself but it sounds like maybe plantar fascitis? Anyone who's had this want to chime in?

Yes, I have this in both feet now Most of the time at night both of my feet are a bit achy. I cannot wear shoes without good support. No more of those flat sandals... I do some high impact moves, but not all. So while doing say, Turbo Jam, I will follow some of the higher moves, and then go with the modifier doing lower impact. This seems to work pretty well for me. Unless, my feet are really bothering me, then I will lay off any high impact for a while. You probably need a break for a bit.

I'm not sure if what you are describing is PF. I've had PF in both feet, but the pain was in my heels. Do your feet hurt first thing in the morning? According to what I've been told (and experienced) that is when the pain is the worst, and is a good indicator that what you have is PF. Try rolling your foot over a tennis ball or frozen water ball, that always helped me

I've had PF in the past, and the pain was in the heel and indeed was the worst in the morning.

If you have a pain in the ball of your foot, particularly between 3 & 4 toe, and the pain is burning and cramping and feels better when you wear shoes - you may have Morton's Neuroma, which is what I have. It's an inflamed nerve ending, and it can hurt a lot.

Yes the pain is more in my heel, right where the arch starts. The only I can think of is that I did a lot of walking on vacation in horrible shoes with no support and my high impact cardio must have aggravated it. I have never had a pain like this before.

I am sorry. Injuries stink!

I have a ball under my foot as we speak and it really helps. Thanks!

Try massaging your calf. Many times trigger points in the calf can cause foot pain. You can do this with a tennis or pinky ball. Elevate your foot on a short stool (I use the step) and put the ball under your calf and try to find painful spots. You can probably google it for different techniques.

Thanks I'll try that!
