I was the opposite! As a therapist (although not a hypnotherapist!), I identified with the main character a lot.

I've been reading a bunch of kindle unlimited books, most not that great, but cute enough. One was something with Banty Creek in the title, and it was good, but it's not on my kindle anymore and I just can't remember the title.
I read The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek earlier this week, and maybe if I'd read it another time in my life I might have enjoyed it. BUT, not now, it was so depressing! Horrible things kept happening to the main character, and I read it with a sense of dread, not knowing what would happen to her next, but sure it would be bad. The subject was interesting, and based on the reviews, most people love it, which is why I think maybe I'd have liked it if the world wasn't so crazy this year.

I'm reading Blackout by Connie Willis. It's really good. Historians go back in time to witness specific events in history.
And I just started The Water Keeper by Charles Martin. I just started it, so I don't have an opinion yet.
