Hope you heal quickly and enjoy the downtime. I'm curious why you can't put weight on the leg. After a hip replacement, they want you walking on it within HOURS of surgery. If you don't mind, why is this different? In case I have to get a revision down the road.

With the revision they have to scrape a little bone out together with the implant. So I have to wait for a little bone grow for 6 weeks. It is different than the original THR.

Are you doing PT?

Sounds like you have a good attitude, and I'm sure the training pre-op will help your recovery.

Glad your surgery went well and you recover quickly. I like your attitude. I did the same thing after my ACL surgery and worked on my upper body while I was using crutches.

Interesting. I didn't know what it entailed so thanks for the info. So sorry you had to go through this again. Six weeks will feel like forever so maybe a new hobby would be helpful. Best wishes!
