Weird foot thing (not fungal, I promise!)

Lately I've been getting a shooting pain in my left foot when I'm doing any sort of jumping type of exercises. It's like I land on the left and kind feels like something's gonna snap pain just shoots right through it. I'm not sure how to describe it. It'll hurt for a few seconds then stops and I can keep working just being lighter and more careful on the left side.

It really sucks too cuz I just figured out TA's Beginner Dance Cardio (yes I did say Beginner) and I love it! I had TWO a-ha moments with it yesterday. I'm usually not good with choreography or that much jumping/bouncing around but this has become my favorite cardio video.

Anyway, reason I ask is it is becoming more frequent - any of you have this problem before?

Thanks for any input - obviously I will go to the doc if needed.

I had something similar once. It was a stress fracture.

It got better pretty quickly once I knew what it was. I concentrated on doing non-impactful stuff until it healed.

You probably should lay off high impact until it gets better. Make sure your shoes are supportive and if they are old - replace them.

It's a bummer, but better to nip this in the bud before it becomes a chronic issue!

I started having pain in my right foot after doing a high impact cardio so I stopped doing it and the pain went away. I also wore very comfortable shoes until the pain went away.

thanks!

I thought it was a stress fracture (thank you internet and webmd)! I'll take it easy!
