the Firm Power Sculpt with Allie uses the Firm barbell. It is a 20 minute workout. Very good for a beginner. I think there are other Firms that use the barbell.
There is one with Nancy that is very fun with cardio and uses the barbell. someone will know the name, I am sure.

A lot of Jari Love's Ripped workouts use the barbell. I like the original Ripped and have Ripped and Jacked on my calendar for this week.

yes. bodybars or weighted bars are great because you don't need to change the plates.

in the beginning, DH bought me a curl bar, which by itself, was 10#, a good weight to start with when learning to use a barbell. I used it with Firm Cardio, Firm Strength, Tortoise, Hare, Standing Legs, and Maximum Cardio (Carissa Foster).

when deciding what barbell weight (and adding plates) to use for a given exercise, divide total poundage (bar plus plates) by 2 which is the equivalent of a dumbbell in each hand. therefore, if you can handle a move with 2, 10# db's, you can handle a barbell with plates that weighs a total of 20#.

Ripped and Jacked is different from Jari's other offerings. She doesn't lead this workout, a guy (don't know his name) does with 2 background exercisers. It is slow tempo, so you can go a bit heavier with this workout (but not too heavy, because there are still a lot of reps!) I do like the workout, although I don't do it too often. I split up the body parts because the entire workout is over 60 minutes.
