the Series Foyle's War. It is WW2@ in England. each episode is a complete story and can stand alone. I think there are nine season . 4 episodes to a season, but only 3 in later seasons. so wonderful, historic accurate, just great!

Maybe he would enjoy Highway to Heaven on Netflix and MASH on Hulu.
What about The Green Mile and Forrest Gump?

Do you get the channel "COZI?". They have Little House and Highway to Heaven. The channel INSP has The Waltons. I think Antenna Tv has The Waltons also.

Has he watched the series "Touched by an Angel?". Each episode kind of stands alone. It was on for nine seasons and always had excellent guest stars.
Della Reese was on it. I need to check to see if it streaming anywhere. They do show it on the channel "start tv."

He may like the show "Early Edition" also.

I am better at tv suggestions than movies. I will try to think of movie ideas.

He’d probably like Band of Brothers if he hasn’t seen it. HBO has a really good although a bit depressing mini series called Chernobyl about the title event. He might like BBC stuff like Doc Martin, Midsomer Murders, Poirot etc. My grandparents loved Matlock and Murder She Wrote.
