Hi Chaplyn and Usia - My program is nothing special, just throwing in a kettlebell workout once a week to my strength training program, in addition to cardio. Because I have a previous shoulder injury, I have to be careful to not overtrain my upper body, so each week, I usually do:
* total body heavy strength training at the gym x 1
* a cardio/weights circuit, or metabolic training, DVD x 1
* kettlebell DVD x 1
I finished a round of P90X2 this morning, so I start a new rotation next week. This will be an upper/lower split with Steve Maxwell using double bells, plus heavy strength training at the gym, and Brooklyn Bridge Bootcamp as my cardio/strength workout.
I saw good results after adding in cardio/weights circuits or metabolic training DVDs, but credit the kettlebells for leaning out my lower body.
Tytbody - I'm 56½
