BodoyShred Cardio 2

BodyShred Cardio 2
3 circuits of 9 moves done 2 times = 9 min. circuit

Circuit 1:
Jumping jacks
180 hop squats
plank Everest Climbers
rock star jumps
jog in place "break" haha
cannonball jumps (hop 3 times into tuck jump)
wide skaters
burpees
speed rope
REPEAT

Circuit 2:
alt snap kicks
punching plank
straight leg thrusters
single arm burpees
double unders (slower jump rope - I just did a small hop)
jumping jack squats
hanging mt. climbers
butt kicks in plank
long jump run around
REPEAT

Circuit 3:
kick thrus
bear crawl 4 forward 4 back
crab kicks
plie hops
jab, jab, uppercut, uppercut
lateral burpees
donkey kicks
plank jacks
sprint to finish
REPEAT

I loved this workout. It reminded me of when I first tried Insanity and was unsure of the moves but wanted to just ride it out and improve. Sweating buckets afterwards.

Each move is only 30 seconds but Jillian shows modifications and advanced options for every exercise.

I'm totally in love with this set. Jillian is really funny and encouraging in all the workouts I've done.

How does body shred compare to body revolution?

I think it's harder because there's absolutely no rest. In Body Rev, (imho) Jillian stalls a bit in explaining the move. With BodyShred she demos and then you go, go, go. I try to keep count of how many of a move I do in each 30 secs. Seriously, I had to pause a few times to wipe my face because sweat was flying everywhere.

Think of Level 3 in Body Rev. Phase 1 of BodyShred is probably a level 4 to begin with.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for these great reviews. I really like the sounds of this set. Lots of creative, bodyweight moves, which are my favorite. Is there a low-impact modifier? Also, do you think you'd still get a good workout if doing the low-impact version?

Thanks again lesia for the reviews. I love Jillian's workouts so I will definitely buy this set in the future.

I've rented most of them through Kineticflix, and it's a great set. I found it harder than BodyRev (and her other 3-2-1 workouts) out of the gate for the following reasons:

-The warmups are harder.
-There are no rests between circuits.
- She combines 3-2-1 with supersets.

I was very challenged with Workouts 1-4 and I have enjoyed the others I've tried. I also really enjoyed Cardio 1 & 2. I use BodyRev Cardio 1 & 2 all the time -- these are similar. Opus has not arrived so I cannot comment on that.

I'm holding off purchasing the set until the price drops. That will be awhile, but I've got many other DVDs to do in the meantime.

This is a really good set! I really haven't done Jillian workouts before. I knew about her, but just kinda blew her off. I mean after all, 30 min. and light light weight? Huh?

I'm a believer now. She works you good in these workouts. I think she's a better instructor with a group rather than 2 backgrounders. She's more motivating and energetic. I love when she gets down and does the advanced versions with Kenta and Carolyn! My mistake again, she doesn't look that strong, but she can hang with them.

I'm so looking forward to moving through these workouts.

Lesia, Thanks now I want these knowing what you like too. Are they just 30 min? That would seal the deal
