What year did Leslie start making exercise videos?

I found a Leslie VHS at the Good Will yesterday. It's a one mile walk, the program name is At Home Walking. The copyright date is 1998. It's Leslie by herself taped supposedly at her home in Pennsylvania. It looks like it's taped in a living room in front of a big stone fireplace. After the workout, there is a discussion with Leslie and her sister about eating, calculating calories, weight loss.

It seems like it's a pretty early one, but the 1998 date is confusing me. Does anybody know when she made her first productions? I would have thought it was earlier than 1998.

Wasn't her first video with her last name being Tommello (sp?) in 1987?

Not sure when her first video was but I believe in the 1980's.

Here is an article from 2001 and she was doing classes at that time for 21 years.

I think you are right. I used to have that video. I found it at a library sale for fifty cents.

Yes, I'm guessing Tommelleo was her name before she married. I remember reading that one of her clients at the studio where she was teaching Walkaerobics wanted a tape of the class to take with her on vacation. Leslie ran with that idea! and 1987 was the first release.

I remember the VHS of her alone in the living room, using tiny pink weights. I loved that tape so much, I wore out at least 3 copies.
