Volume 2 is one of my favorites. I love almost everything about it, and for being one of the "celebrity" leads, Janet is actually pretty good at cuing, and she's certainly in great shape! Like others, I sort of modify some of the cardio down, otherwise it's tough to make it through the whole workout.

Speaking of which, even in my 20s, I could only rarely get through all of volume 1 at a time. Usually by the leg portion, I groan and give up. These days, if it comes up in rotation, I just do my best to get through as much as I can!

Here's how I've modified my Firm/Fitprime Workouts:

1. Tall Box is only the blue portion. I work hard on form and really only use
the leg on the box for movement up and down.
2. No Plyos: I do wide leg kick backs or get on my rebounder for segments with
lots of plyos, jacks, bunny hops etc.
3. I have nerve damage in my neck and forearms: No heavy weights over head
anymore. I use my medium poundage for over head press, etc.
4. Squats, Lunges, & Dips: Shallow for now. But I'm working on them. I keep
my legs a bit wider when stepping forward or back to give myself better
balance. Occasionally I'll use the dowel, but not often. (still too prideful).
5. Floor work: I use the step to lay over and support my torso so that I can
really work hard in the legs and use proper form without compromising
my shoulders, wrists, neck. This does not take away the intensity of the
lower body.
6. Aerobic segments with a step: Only the purple portion. My HR is through
the roof with just this short step. Some days I'll just use the floor with no
step and still get a great cardio workout.
7. I have taken the 60 min. Classics and divided them into 2 workouts. It's quite easy to do with great chaptering. I just started using them fully just today.

That's all I can think of for now, but will add more as it comes to me.
These are GREAT tips. Most of these I do already but it's so useful to see them printed out.

Gina, I've been so desperate over the years not to give up on my Firms, that I've just walked in place to the beat of the music, just to say I used one of my Firms. I'm pathetic. LOL

Lol, I believe it Tina.
Best thing I initially did was give myself permission to break up long Firm classics into 2 30-min routines. I'd *like* to do each in its entirety on a regular basis but dread begins to set in (that floorwork!) as compared to finishing half and feeling like " Wow, I feel great, not exhausted!"

I love your tip about using the tall box when doing table floorwork!!

Tina,
Thanks for posting your tips for modifying Firm workouts. I have almost given up on Firms in the past due to my knees, but I now do most of the modifications that you do. I have also traded/given away many of my Firms only to re-quire them back again I also love 4-limb, IMO there is really nothing else quite like it! Anna was really ahead of her time

Thanks for the info Carol. Next time I try streaming, I will have to try Bemax

BeMax workouts are on the FitFusion web site and a subscription gives you access to all the workouts, not just BeMax. I keep encouraging my husband to try some of the workouts led by men, but so far no luck.

Carol, I didn't know that BeMax was on the FitFusion website. Thanks for the info! I can't get my DH to do any kind of formal workouts, so far anyway

The FitFusion web site works much better than the TrainerPass web site that the BeMax workouts were on before and they have an annual subscription option.

Sherry ~ I can't count the number of posts I've made through out the years, talking about giving up my Firms and trying to move due to some of the exercises. Only to find myself desperate to get them back. Modifying was like conceding defeat or giving in, in my mind years ago. Then I wised up and realized that if I wanted to continue using my Firms/Fitprimes, I needed to make them work for ME. Changing how I use them is ok, right, and benefits my body, regardless how others choose and can use them.

I'm still on the Firm bandwagon after all these years, ... the wagon just moves a bit slower now.
