They're my "vintage" eyes from the 80's. ;p

What a burner, and Karen gives great form pointers. I'm so glad I got this DVD during Mary's sale (used to have it on VHS back in the olden days)---it is a great addition to my leg workout options.
I love the floor part, but never do the abs. That is too much!

DH, now a yoga instructor () wants to start crosstraining with very simple & straightforward strength training. Not lengthy or dragged out (i.e. Cathe), not a lot of equipment, no rapid lifting for a "fatburning effect", and not silly/fluffy/annoying instructors/production.

Voila! - I had the perfect VHS on my shelves: Rachel McLish's In Shape... the perfect video for his needs. And it doesn't hurt that she's an inspirational knockout to look at, though she's thankfully *not* playing up for the camera (a la Cory Everson, lol).

The other day I did Karen Voight's Pure & Simple Stretch (1991).

I didn't like it when it first came out because Karen was so deadpan. Like a deer in front of headlights.

Now, I like the calmness and low-key presentation. I only do the floor portion. Very nice!

Yesterday, I did Joyce Vedral's Dynamic Tension (1996?). I like this because she goes pretty slow (for Joyce.)

The other day I did The FIRM 5 day Stretch DVD. I never had this one on VHS. I probably won't use this as a daily stretch (not thorough enough for me) but once in a while I might use the whole workout as a long warm down if I have the time and benefit from the repeat stretches.
Seeing all those instructors in one session, not only were they strong but flexible too, wow.

I read through this thread and am envious of all of you who still have VHS players. I should look into converting my old Stacy Benson tapes - if they're still functioning. I have a bunch of Kari Andersons and the Twenty Minute Workout, too.

I did an oldie this week, Kathy Smith Peel Off the Pounds Pilates. Well not the full workout, she wiped me out before I could do the lower body and abs.

Pat, I bet you could find one at a Goodwill store for about $10. (Only, don't use a credit card there, their database just got hacked!)

Or, get your favorites converted before they degrade too much.

Aerostep!!!

Yesterday, I did part of Micheal Olajide's Trainer's Edge: Killer Abs & Back (2004). I like the standing abs part. Plus, he is easy on the eyes (and ears).
