If you've been doing kettlebell kickboxing DVDs, then I think Shut Up and Train would be a good starting point. There are 6 workouts, each one around 15 minutes, but they are by no means easy. They are strength focused with some cardio bursts. There is something about the way Lauren sequences her exercises that revs my metabolism like nobody's business. Her Vol. 1 DVD is also really fantastic and well worth the money. I actually like all of her workouts for different reasons. And yes, definitely wait until this weekend because she'll probably run a sale.

My favs are:
Shut up & Train Incinerator (great short workouts or if you want longer easy to string together) Volume 1 and 2 Kettlebell Body (good for beginners and advanced alike) Revelation is good too but I think a little difficult for a beginner (I found it very fast paced) |

I don't think you can go wrong with Shut Up and Train. It is my go-to kettlebell workout. I would be surprised if Lauren doesn't have a Memorial Day sale. I hope so! I'm wanting to purchase some of her digital offerings.

It really depends what you want. If you want a more strength building workout, then Kettlebell Body would be your best choice. For metabolic, I like USB&C 1 and 2 (vol. 3 has suspension training segments).
Kettlebell Kickboxing (I had only the first set) is a very different style. The instructor in KBKB talks non-stop and the weights used are quite light because she moves so fast. Lauren is quite serious in her approach and not chatty (which I quite appreciate). If you can point out what appeals to you in your other kettlebell work, you can get better recommendations. |
