Somewhat OT: Update on my foot injury

Thanks to everyone for your support over these last weeks/months of my foot injury. I've followed all of your suggestions for chair workouts, and you motivated me not to give up on getting a proper diagnosis. I saw another podiatrist today for a second opinion, and it looks like I have a broken small bone in my foot and because I was walking weird to avoid putting pressure on it I put too much pressure on a nerve and have inflamed that which is what is causing tingling in my toes. I am on crutches indoors now and have one of those scooters (where you put your knee on it) outdoors. In some ways I'm more mobile than I've been for weeks. It's going to be a long process, but it will heal. The doctor did not call me old and did not say I was not going to exercise ever again. If this had been treated properly from the start I could be mostly healed by now, but at least there isn't any permanent damage.

Well, good for you getting another doctor. Not happy to hear you could have been helped earlier.. however now knowing WHAT is a relief.

Sending you more healing wishes...hang in there!!

Glad you went to a different (and better) doctor! Hope you are fully recovered soon. Take care - I know how frustrating these injuries are (I broke my foot 7 years ago and caused another injury because of the way I was walking on it).
