Okay - I see - it's the weight thing that confused me. I think the Power Packs offer different levels of resistance, but I don't think you can equate them with pounds anymore than you would resistance bands.

Gams,

You are right. It's probably more resistance level like a higher tension on a band.

I am thinking we are all talking about the same thing - each in their own way. I tried mine w/ a Leslie this morning, but had trouble with the overhead presses. Mine didn't stretch all the way - but my belt is 17 yrs old, so maybe the cords are not what they used to me.

Wait - did I just say my Powerbelt is 17 years old??? How time flies. I think I used to be 17 years old once too....

yes - the packs come in pairs (1 for each hand) & are tightly wound high quality "strings" that you pull out and it resists against your pull, so there's constant tension. the strings do not stretch, but the spring inside of the pack is what gives you the resistance.

one pack set doesn't "weigh" more than another - they weigh the same. it's just the tightness of the spring that differentiates the resistance levels.

the packs themselves are lightweight - making them ideal for walking outside.

so far, the strings inside of the packs have withstood longer than the black-fleck-shedding handle bars. the strings are of high quality, considering it resists against your pull and stay tightly wound inside of the pack when not in use.

i have short arms, so i am able to raise them up the way Leslie does when using them.

i have never gone beyond level 1 for the packs - it's plenty of resistance.
