Does anyone own these workouts? Are they advanced? Thanks!

Yes and YES! Core is the easiest, IMO. Upper is hardest and lower and total body are somewhere in the middle.

Do you know how these compare to Pure Barre DVDs?

I haven't done many Pure Barre workouts, but my guess is that Ballet Body is more challenging than PB.

I just got the upper body workout for Ballet Body. I did it for the first time today, and it's tough! It's like a super hard Squeeze type workout. I feel it in my arms as much as I would from a Cathe workout with heavier weights.

I just have the original PB, and would def. say BB is harder. BB is sort of barre with a twist. Leah uses a lot of creative moves, but not weird creative. You don't feel like you're tying yourself up in knots, the exercises have flow to them, they're just a little outside the norm that you get with a typical Lotte Berk style workout.

I agree with this. Ballet Body has a lot more variety of moves. There are still your typical plies in first and second position and lots of isometric/pulsing movements, but Leah puts an athletic and yoga-ish twist on some moves for variety (e.g. lots of planks, downdogs, backbends, warrior lunges, deep sitbacks). I've also only done the original Pure Barre and agree that Ballet Body is harder and more varied than that workout!

Different type of workout- BB uses much wider ranges of motion. I like Ballet Body for variety but personally I see better results and more burn with more classic barre techniques.
