I'm sure she will have an explanation once she tweets again.

LOL!! I also don't get what she means. It might have something to do with the pelvic tuck since that's not done during ballet classes. I don't know Jennifer's background but I think she has taken ballet before so she's used to barre work.

Me too. I've been reading and listening to a lot of Katy Bowman lately so my mind just went there. Pelvic tucking = tight pelvic floor

I'm not sure what she means either, but surely she's not implying that 80% of female city-dwellers take Bar Method classes? That's pretty ridiculous. I think it's more likely she's trying to say that the 80% who don't are experiencing these issues and that Bar Method's the 'cure'... maybe. Regardless, this awkwardly-phrased sentence is obviously not true and a sweeping generalization.

Wow. Her comment came across as very mean-spirited to me, so I hope I'm completely misinterpreting her intentions.

I enjoy her workouts, but I hope she's not going to start bashing other instructors and their workout programs.

I believe she was replying to someone in a tweet. That's where it came from.

No, the comment was posted on Facebook, not Twitter, as a stand-alone post. She posted the following follow up comment later:

"in my opinion, the way they instruct...exacerbates these issues. "

(issues being constipation, SI, and hip issues)

It really bothers me when instructors feel the need to bash others' methods.

I mean, seriously, she took one class and was somehow able to determine that Bar Method students had problems with constipation?
