Caroline Girvan Epic 3

I mostly have been doing BBOD for the past few years. Though most aren't a walk in the park. This Girl is BRUTAL. I don't know if its that i haven't trained in the typical fashion in awhile. She's Old School Wicked.

I only do her strength workouts. Her cardio is way too much for me! I would have loved it in my 30s but not anymore. She is in amazing shape - so strong and fit.

i ONLY DID ONE CARDIO OF HERS SO FAR, iT WAS MOSTLY BURPEES i SUBBED MOST OF THE MOVES

Yes, she loves burpees! I take a peek at her cardio and say, "nope" and do something different!

I’ve been quick previewing Epic 3. The weight work looks tough! And she has a workout with the repeat move of “Manmakers” which looks like a burpee with weights into a curl press.

I’ve also been following Sydney Cummings “Strong” program this month. I’m going to give it a try later. It looks more like old school weight lifting which I like best.

I've been doing Epic 3 from the beginning... yay me! However, I skip her HiiT workouts on Sunday. It's too much for me.

You can do it. Weight training is about using weights that challenge you. I have been using 'around' the same weight as Caroline, except in lbs. Hers in kg, so about half of what she uses (i.e. 9 kg for Caroline is 8 or 10 lbs for me). Very much challenging to me.

I use the same weights as she does for most exercises except for shoulders. I can't go that heavy for shoulders and I'm too nervous about injuries so I keep those exercises much lighter.

ETA - I forgot that I go lighter on lunges, too. I can't go that heavy and use good form. I already struggle with form even with lighter weights.

Love her workouts, but I don't do her Hiit workouts. I normally sub in Heather Robertson.
